The Hyderabad police have arrested a 22-year-old drug sub-peddler for carrying Hash oil. The accused was caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, southwest zone team, and the Tappachabutra police. The officers seized 1,132 grams of Hash oil from him, which is worth Rs 11.32 lakh.
The arrested man, Lalit Mandi, is a farmer from Odisha. He had been working for the main drug peddler, Sarata Pujari, for the past six months. However, Sarata Pujari is currently absconding. Lalit used to deliver Hash oil to customers in Hyderabad and earned a commission based on the quantity he delivered.
Lalit never shared details of the customers, such as their names or contact numbers. After reaching the delivery location, he would inform the customer by describing himself. The customer would then meet him and collect the drugs.
Five days ago, Sarata Pujari gave Lalit about 1,100 grams of Hash oil and instructed him to deliver it to a customer in Hyderabad. Lalit was promised Rs 30,000 as commission for this job. On Thursday, as he was heading to Arman Hotel in Jhirra, Tappachabutra, the police caught him and seized the Hash oil.
A case has been registered against Lalit under the NDPS Act, 1985. He is now being presented before the court.
