Hyderabad Man Crafts Enormous 1,265 kg Laddu as Offering for Ayodhya Temple

With the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir approaching, devotees all over India are excited and making contributions to Lord Rama. A man named Nagabhushan Reddy from Hyderabad has made a laddu weighing 1,265 kgs that will be offered at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The laddu prasadam was taken to Ayodhya from Hyderabad in a grand procession by road on Wednesday. It will arrive in Ayodhya within three days, and it is being transported in a refrigerated box. Five vehicles with 18 people are accompanying it, and on the inauguration day, January 22, it will be distributed to the devotees.

The idea behind making a 1,265 kg laddu came from Rukmanania Reddy, Nagabhushan Reddy’s brother. They wanted to offer something special to Lord Ram between the bhoomi puja day and the temple’s opening day, which is approximately 1,265 days.

The laddu is made using high-quality ingredients. It consists of 350 kgs of chickpea flour, 700 kgs of sugar, 40 kgs of ghee, and dry fruits. They have also used special ingredients like pacha karpuram (camphor) from Tirupati and saffron from Kashmir. The laddu has a shelf life of 21 days. In addition to the giant laddu, four laddus weighing 500 kgs will be offered at Garbhagriha.

Obtaining the ghee was a bit challenging as the stock was not available initially. However, they managed to get it from Murugan Ghee after some time. It took around 30 hours to complete the process and approximately three days to make the laddu. Around 30 people helped in its preparation, and it took four hours to assemble the laddu.

Nagabhushan Reddy feels happy and blessed for being able to do this work. This is the first time he has undertaken such a huge project. They have put in a lot of effort and dedication to ensure that the laddu remains intact during transportation. They have also obtained permission from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to distribute the laddu prasad to devotees and have received a food grade certificate from the food inspector.
