Decibell Dash 2025 – Run for Hearing Promotes Hearing Health in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Decibell Dash 2025 – Run for Hearing was organized by the Maurya Foundation to raise awareness about hearing health and support people with hearing impairments. The event took place on March 2, 2025, at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. Participants could choose from different activities, including a 2K Fun Walk, 5K Run, 10K Challenge, and a Virtual Run.

The main goal of this event was to encourage early detection of hearing issues, provide accessible hearing care, and create awareness about hearing health. The event was attended by prominent guests such as Shiva Sena Reddy (Chairman of Telangana Sports Authority), Dr. Sri Prakash (ENT Surgeon & Foundation Chairman), and Dr. Ashwini Amareshwar (Foundation Organizing Secretary). The run was officially flagged off by Dr. Sri Prakash and the Decibell Dash Team.

To further support the cause, the Maurya Foundation announced a free ear screening camp from March 3 to March 10 at MicroCare ENT Super Specialty Hospitals in Jubilee Hills and KPHB. This initiative aims to help people detect hearing problems early and receive the necessary care.

The event was organized in celebration of World Hearing Day (March 3, 2025). It brought together people from various fields, including doctors, paramedical professionals, IT companies, pharmaceutical firms, sports personalities, socialites, artists, influencers, politicians, and health enthusiasts. Their participation highlighted the importance of hearing health and the need for collective action to support individuals with hearing impairments.

Dr. Sri Prakash emphasized the mission of the Decibell Dash, stating that the goal is to create a world where hearing health is a priority. “We want to empower people of all ages to live fulfilling lives without the challenges of untreated hearing loss. Through this event, we hope to raise awareness, inspire action, and provide accessible solutions for hearing care,” he said.

Dr. Ashwini Amareshwar also spoke about the event’s importance, saying, “Our mission is to spread global awareness about hearing health, promote early detection, and support individuals with hearing impairments through an inclusive and engaging event.”

The Decibell Dash 2025 successfully united people from different backgrounds to support a meaningful cause, making a difference in the lives of those with hearing challenges.
