Union Minister and Telangana Minister Unveil Biodegradable Plastic Products
Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and Telangana Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, launched eco-friendly biodegradable plastic products on Friday. These products were developed by Green Works Bio in collaboration with CSIR-IICT (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Indian Institute of Chemical Technology).

He highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting sustainable research and noted that such innovative solutions are crucial for reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable development.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, who attended as the chief guest, reiterated the state’s dedication to supporting research on pollution-free products. He emphasized the importance of eliminating single-use plastics, as recommended by the United Nations, and expressed hope that biodegradable plastics would soon become widely available.
Minister Sridhar Babu also commended Green Works Bio for its efforts and underlined the need to expand the use of bioplastics across various sectors. He noted that such initiatives are vital for protecting the environment and achieving a cleaner, greener future.
