Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy dismantles previous government policies, disproves KTR's development claims

In Hyderabad, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy criticized the previous government’s policies and suggested BRS working president K T Rama Rao go on a fast-until-death to secure funds from the Centre. The CM laid the foundation stone for the Rajiv Rahadari Elevated Corridor at TIMS, Alwal, in Secunderabad and stated that the State government had obtained permission from the Centre.

Revanth Reddy urged KTR to start a hunger strike at Indira Park for Hyderabad’s development and continue until the State receives funds or he sacrifices his life. He also questioned KTR’s past struggles and achievements. The construction of the elevated corridor is expected to ease traffic congestion in various stretches.

The CM highlighted that the project had been delayed due to disagreements between the Centre and State governments during the previous administration. After coming to power, his government resolved the issues by coordinating with Union government officials. The development of Medchal area is expected to accelerate once the corridor is completed.

Revanth Reddy emphasized his government’s commitment to quick development in North Telangana through infrastructure projects like the elevated corridor. He pointed out that decisions are made in the interest of the people without political motives. The government aims to seek continuous support from the Centre for the State’s progress.

The Chief Minister stressed that Hyderabad’s development under the BRS rule was limited, and significant progress occurred only during Congress’ tenure. The government’s focus is on long-term development goals beyond election cycles, particularly in areas like the Cantonment region.
