Two engineering students were injured in a car accident at the Jubilee Hills check post in Hyderabad on Tuesday night. They were reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol and lost control of their car.
The police said that the car, driven by Saketh Reddy, went off the road, climbed onto the footpath, and hit a pole before overturning. Both Saketh Reddy and his passenger got hurt and were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Local residents called the police, who arrived at the scene and helped get the injured students out of the damaged car. A breathalyser test showed that Saketh Reddy had a blood alcohol concentration of 146 mg/dL, indicating he was very drunk at the time of the accident, according to the police.
