The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPC) has issued a yellow alert for Hyderabad as the city is expected to experience cold weather with temperatures below 15 degrees celsius for the next five days.
Areas such as Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hayatnagar, Kukatpally, Malakpet, Amberpet, LB Nagar, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Begumpet, and Musheerabad are likely to have minimum temperatures around 13 degrees celsius. The entire city will be affected by this cold spell.
Yesterday, Hyderabad had an average minimum temperature of 13.8 degrees celsius. BHEL Factory recorded the lowest temperature at 12.2 degrees celsius, followed by Rajendranagar at 12.3 degrees celsius, and West Marredpally at 13.8 degrees celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) – Hyderabad has predicted fog and mist in the early mornings for the next five days. The maximum temperatures in the city have also been below normal, with Wednesday’s maximum temperature being 27.7 degrees celsius against the usual 28.5 degrees celsius. The IMD-Hyderabad predicts maximum temperatures to range between 26 and 28 degrees celsius during this period.
The surrounding districts of Hyderabad, such as Kumaram Bheem, Adilabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar, Peddapalli, and Nirmal, are also experiencing adverse weather conditions. Kumaram Bheem district recorded the lowest temperature at 7.1 degrees celsius and is expected to have single-digit temperatures in the coming days.
