A bench in Andhra Pradesh is currently hearing a plea from the state’s CID to impose additional conditions on former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s interim bail. The verdict on this plea will be delivered on November 3.
The CID filed a petition asking the court to prohibit Naidu from speaking to the media about the skill development case and from organizing political rallies. They argued that Naidu had already violated these conditions, and presented evidence to support their claim.
Naidu’s counsel countered by stating that freedom of speech should not be considered a violation. They also claimed that Naidu had followed the court’s orders by staying in his vehicle during a recent trip.
The court has reserved its verdict and has asked Naidu’s advocates to file a counter before November 3.
