Head of ITDA instructs medical authorities to stay alert during the rainy season

The District Collector visited a health center in Ashwapuram to check on the medical treatment provided to patients. He emphasized the importance of having local medical staff available 24/7 for tribal families living in remote forest areas. The patients, especially pregnant women, should be treated with courtesy and given proper care at the primary health center.

Proper maintenance of the OP register and awareness about diseases like Taruna and sickle cell were also stressed. Any febrile blood blisters or malaria cases should be treated promptly, and blood samples should be sent for testing. Doctors were advised to keep an adequate supply of medicines for all diseases at the health center.

The Collector then met with Asha workers to discuss preventive measures during the rainy season, such as removing old tires or coolers to prevent standing water. He also visited a veterinary hospital and issued a show cause notice to a staff member for not providing a satisfactory response. Later, he participated in a Grama Sabha regarding land expansion in Gollagudem village.

The program was attended by officials from various departments, including the Tahsildars and medical staff. The office of the Additional Civil Relations Officer in Bhadrachalam issued a statement about the visit.
