On Friday, Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao inaugurated the Central-Mega Nursery, Center for Excellence Harita Nidhi Nursery, and Forest Beat Officers’ Quarters-3 at Marpadaga in the Tejovanam Urban Forest Park in Siddipet. He praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Haritaharam programme which led to the establishment of Harita Nidhi.
Minister Rao advised forest department officials to prioritize Avenue Plantation and allocate the Rs 5.85 crore fund to the central nursery’s plant capacity of Rs 50 lakh for three years. He suggested making Vermicompost from fallen leaves in the nursery at Tejovanam Urban Park.
The district Green Fund set up a central nursery with a capacity of 50 lakh plants at a cost of Rs 5.85 crore for three years. Forest officials updated Minister Rao on the development issues of Chintamadaka Urban Park and Gajvel Kalpaka Vanam Urban Park.
