Finance Minister T Harish Rao accused the opposition of trying to incite riots for their own political gain in the upcoming elections. He made these remarks after visiting MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who was attacked and is currently receiving treatment at Yashoda Hospital. Rao criticized the opposition parties for mocking the attack and making cheap comments about it. He emphasized that such tactics were unnecessary and showed the opposition’s lack of integrity.
Rao mentioned that the police are currently investigating the case and have obtained call details to uncover the truth. He expressed hope that the case would be solved within a couple of days. Rao also stated that Telangana has never experienced this kind of political violence before, unlike other regions such as Rayalaseema and Bihar.
Moreover, Rao highlighted that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao harbors no grudges against anyone, as evidenced by his handling of various corruption cases. Rao mentioned housing scams involving crores of rupees and the “cash for vote” case, but assured that no action was taken by the government. He emphasized the importance of conducting elections democratically and expressed confidence in the judiciary.
