Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao announced that the number of deliveries in Government hospitals reached a record high of 72% in July. This is the first time that government hospitals in Telangana have conducted such a large number of deliveries compared to private maternity hospitals.

Previously, before the formation of the state, government hospitals only handled around 30-35% of deliveries. This achievement has been a long-term goal of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who aims to provide quality healthcare in government hospitals that is on par with private hospitals. Harish Rao also commended the entire healthcare department for their hard work in managing this significant increase in pregnancies in government hospitals in Telangana.
