BRS working president K T Rama Rao, who previously defended the denial of permission for protests against Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest, praised N T Rama Rao in Khammam district. Minister for Health T Harish Rao also condemned Naidu’s arrest. Political circles believe that BRS changed its stance because they fear losing support from voters in Andhra Pradesh who live in Telangana.
During a public meeting in Khammam, KTR stated that NTR was highly respected and accomplished many things. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, a follower of NTR, is expected to achieve a hat-trick by winning the elections for the third time as CM. KTR emphasized the power of NTR’s name and how he served as a role model for many.
At a program in Siddipet, Harish Rao spoke out against Naidu’s arrest, describing it as unfortunate for someone of his age. Harish also mentioned Naidu’s positive comments about Telangana’s development, noting how land prices have increased significantly since the formation of the state.
Overall, both KTR and Harish strongly criticized Naidu’s arrest and expressed admiration for NTR’s legacy.
