BRS Leaders Visit Gurukula School to Address Students' Issues
A team from the BRSV district, led by BRS Party leaders, recently visited the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Gurukula School and College near Marlabidu village in Jogulamba Gadwal district. The purpose of the visit was to understand the challenges faced by students living in the hostel. However, the visit took an unexpected turn when the Gurukula staff locked the gates, preventing the leaders from entering the premises.
Despite being unable to enter, the BRS leaders spoke to the students outside the gate to learn about their grievances. Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, a senior BRS leader, criticized the situation and shared his concerns. He said, “The students in Gurukula institutions are facing numerous problems. Locking the gates and refusing entry is unacceptable. Why is the Chief Minister silent on these critical issues? How long will the government neglect the future of our children? If the government truly cares about education, it must prioritize providing basic amenities immediately. We also urge the appointment of an Education Minister to address these pressing matters.”
The programme saw active participation from several local leaders and party members. Among them were district BRSV president Kurva Pallaiah, constituency BRSV president Md. Maj, and leaders such as Thirumalesh, Govardhan, Paramesh, Kamesh, and Ramudu. Several party workers, youth members, and activists also joined in the effort to highlight the challenges faced by the students.
