Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy alleges conspiracy to delay Yadadri power plant in Suryapet

Minister for Energy, Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy, expressed frustration over the central government’s delay in granting approvals for the Yadadri Thermal Ultra Mega Power Plant. The project is supported by the Telangana government. Speaking to the media in Suryapet, Reddy criticized Congress leaders who previously claimed that three hours of power were enough, stating they have no authority to discuss current affairs.

Reddy denied claims that rice fields were drying up across the state and accused the opposition of spreading lies. He urged Prime Minister Modi to speed up permission for the Yadadri power plant. Reddy accused the BJP-led central government of deliberately obstructing the plant’s progress and ignoring the National Green Tribunal’s directive. He demanded Modi issue the order before visiting the state, saying failure to do so would be a betrayal of patriotism.

Reddy claimed that instead of supporting development, the BJP was obstructing it. He alleged that conspiracies were being made against the Yadadri plant, which is important for the state’s farmers.
