Gadwal Collector Urges Grand Arrangements for Jamulamma Brahmotsavam

The District Collector of Gadwal, B.M. Santosh, has instructed officials to ensure that the Jamulamma Brahmotsavam festival is organized on a grand scale and in a well-structured manner. The festival is scheduled to take place from February 4 to February 12.

A preparatory meeting was held on Friday at the Collector’s Conference Hall, where officials from various departments gathered to discuss arrangements for the event. During the meeting, the Collector emphasized the importance of meticulous planning to manage the large number of devotees expected, especially on Tuesdays and Fridays, when the turnout is typically higher.

The Collector directed officials to ensure proper security measures, smooth protocol arrangements, and essential facilities for devotees. The Executive Officer (EO) was specifically tasked with keeping the temple premises clean and managing queue lines effectively. Additionally, the Tahsildar was instructed to create a WhatsApp group to facilitate better coordination between departments.

The Municipal Commissioner was given the responsibility of ensuring sanitation, providing drinking water, and setting up toilet facilities for devotees. The Commissioner was also asked to establish a special bus shelter with support from public health engineers and raise awareness among shopkeepers about minimizing plastic usage during the event.

The police department was directed to implement tight security arrangements, manage traffic efficiently, and organize parking facilities to avoid any disruptions. The Medical and Health Department was asked to set up emergency medical services and organize health camps at the festival venue to handle any medical needs.

To accommodate the expected influx of devotees, the RTC department was instructed to operate additional buses between Gadwal and Erravalli. They were also tasked with establishing a special bus shelter and ensuring that roadside parking is strictly prohibited. The Excise Department was ordered to put up barricades and enforce route diversions to minimize disturbances caused by nearby wine shops.

Other critical arrangements include providing uninterrupted electricity supply throughout the event and deploying rescue swimmers at water bodies to prevent accidents. The Collector emphasized that all departments must work together in coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the Brahmotsavam celebrations.

Prominent attendees at the meeting included Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, RDO Srinivasa Rao, EO Purender, Gadwal Tahsildar Mallikarjun, Municipal Commissioner Dasharath, Excise Officer Veeresh Lingam, CI Srinu, and other officials from various departments, along with police personnel.
