Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that Muharram represents the value of sacrifice, which is highly respected among all human virtues.
In a message, the Governor explained that Muharram is a remembrance of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Holy Prophet, who selflessly sacrificed his life in the pursuit of true belief. The essence of Muharram lies in remembering goodness and sacrifice.
She added, “Let us strive to follow the spirit of Muharram, which emphasizes humanism as a central aspect of Islam. May its principles of sacrifice, peace, and justice continue to inspire us.”
