Development Plans for Vemulawada as a Spiritual Town
Sircilla: Government Whip Adi Srinivas emphasized the need to develop Vemulawada into a spiritual town. He urged officials to take necessary steps to enhance the town’s infrastructure and facilities.
On Saturday, Adi Srinivas, along with District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, held a review meeting with officials to discuss the development of the Vemulawada temple. Various projects related to the temple and surrounding areas were examined during the meeting.
The review included discussions on several key projects worth Rs. 199.49 crore. These projects include the renovation of the Baddi Pochamma Temple, construction of Shivarchana Vedika, development of the Gudi Cheruvu Mini Tank Bund, widening of the Vemulawada-Korutla and Vemulawada-Vattemla roads, and the third bridge to the Rajeswara Swamy Temple. Other works reviewed were the construction of modern facilities for devotees, Annadan Bhavan, Ambedkar Junction, and Jayavaram layout development.
During the meeting, Srinivas expressed his dissatisfaction with the temple authorities for not purchasing materials and furniture for the temple office, despite orders being issued a year ago. He instructed that by Sankranthi, new furniture should be made available in the Annadana Bhojanam Hall and meeting hall.
The Government Whip also stressed the importance of improving facilities for devotees. He directed officials to construct a suite room for devotees’ accommodation and to prioritize sanitation in these areas. He highlighted the need for regular fogging to prevent mosquito-borne diseases.
Adi Srinivas further ordered the completion of the 100-feet-wide road projects for Vemulawada-Korutla and Vemulawada-Vatemla, costing Rs. 9.95 crore, by Shivratri. He insisted that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the temple expansion be submitted by the end of the month. Additionally, he called for immediate submission of proposals for constructing the Annadana Satram building.
