Government raises food costs at government educational institutions

The State government in Hyderabad has decided to increase the diet charges for students studying in government-run educational institutions from 3rd grade to postgraduate level. Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrasekhar Rao made this decision to help poor students in hostels affiliated with various departments, including Gurukulams. The increased charges will start in July of this year.

Here are the details of the new diet charges:

– Students in 3rd to 7th grade will now pay Rs 1200 per month, up from Rs 950.

– Students in 8th to 10th grade will now pay Rs 1400 per month, up from Rs 1100.

– Students from class 11 to postgraduate level will now pay Rs 1875 per month, up from Rs 1500.

To make this decision, Chief Minister KCR appointed a Sub-Committee of Ministers to recommend the increase in diet charges. The Sub-Committee recently submitted their report, and based on their recommendations, the state government made the decision to increase the charges.
