State Gears Up for Nine-Day 'Prajapalana Vijayotsavalu' Celebrations

The Telangana State government is preparing for the nine-day festivities of ‘Prajapalana Vijayotsavalu,’ set to begin on December 1. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to emphasize the government’s development and welfare initiatives during the celebrations.

To mark the occasion, various departments have planned a range of events. These include inauguration ceremonies and foundation stone laying for several significant projects. As part of the second phase of integrated school development, foundation stones will be laid for 26 new schools. Construction for 28 schools from the first phase is already underway. Additionally, the Sports Authority will organize ‘CM Cup’ competitions, ranging from village-level to state-level, to encourage sports participation and discover new talent.

The nine-day celebrations will also see the establishment of 16 new nursing colleges and 28 paramedical colleges. Furthermore, 213 ambulance services will be launched across Telangana. In a groundbreaking move, transgenders will be formally appointed as traffic volunteers to assist the traffic police, as announced by the Chief Minister. A transgender clinic will also be set up in every district to address their healthcare needs.

As part of major development projects, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation for the new Osmania Hospital building in Goshamahal. Infrastructure projects near KBR Park, worth an estimated Rs 826 crore, will also begin. These include a flyover and improvements to six junctions with underpasses. Additionally, the Telangana Forest Development Corporation building will be constructed, and new attractions such as a Safari Theme Park and a Botanical Garden will be inaugurated.

In the energy sector, one unit of the 800 MW Damaracherla Yadadri Thermal Power Plant will be nationalized. The government will also establish 237 substations across the state. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister will launch classes at the Young India Skills University and lay the foundation stone for a new Sports University. As part of the celebrations, the Education Department has directed schools and colleges to organize essay writing competitions.

The Chief Minister has urged officials to ensure smooth arrangements under the supervision of ministers. He has also called for active participation from MLAs, MLCs, and MPs to make the event a success.
