Model School Teachers Await School Department’s Decision on Transfers
Hyderabad, Telangana: The Model School Teachers are eagerly awaiting the decision of the School Education Department regarding their transfers. The department has announced the schedule for the transfers and has given a positive indication of their implementation. On Monday, the Director of School Education Department, Shri Deva Sen, released the transfer schedule for the teachers. The transfer process is set to begin on Wednesday and will be completed by the end of this month. The transfers will be conducted online through the counseling process. Currently, there are a total of 194 Model Schools in the state, with 3,900 teachers and 90 principals working in them. Over the past ten years, several vacancies have arisen due to retirements. The recent transfers will fill these vacancies. However, only a limited number of teachers can be transferred as per the service regulations. As of now, only teachers belonging to Level 5 can apply for transfers. The Model School Teachers cannot be transferred to new districts as per the provisions of GO-317. Their transfers are on hold due to pending cases in the High Court regarding the division of cadres.
