In Hyderabad, officials from the GHMC Town Planning Department took action against an illegal construction in Nalandanagar, Upparpally. On Tuesday, they demolished two unauthorised floors built by a developer.

Rajendranagar Deputy Commissioner, K. Ravi Kumar, explained that the builder had permission to construct only a ground-plus-two (G+2) structure. However, additional floors were built without approval.

Local residents had complained about the illegal construction, prompting the GHMC to issue a notice to the builder two months ago. The notice instructed the builder to remove the unauthorised floors, but no action was taken.

Since the builder ignored the notice, the GHMC carried out the demolition. Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar also stated that, under the guidance of GHMC Commissioner K. Ilambharithi, strict action would be taken against all unauthorised constructions across the city.
