General body meeting of GHMC held peacefully in Hyderabad

The 7th general meeting of the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) was held peacefully under the leadership of Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Wednesday. The Mayor urged the members to cooperate fully for meaningful discussions and for the authorities to respond to their questions. She also encouraged them to bring forward the issues faced by the people without expecting political gains.

The Mayor highlighted that the state government, led by Chief Minister KCR, is implementing development and welfare schemes. These schemes aim to uplift the downtrodden and weaker sections of society, and they are reaching every doorstep in the state. She mentioned that the state is setting an example by implementing innovative schemes unlike any other in the country. Efforts are being made under the guidance of state Municipal Administration, Urban Development, and IT Minister KT Rama Rao to improve the city’s infrastructure.
