Gangula initiates BT road works in Karimnagar

Karimnagar’s BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister, Gangula Kamalakar, announced that efforts are being made to improve the roads in the city. The goal is to have smooth and pothole-free roads for convenient travel. Recently, the Minister laid the foundation stone for CC roads and drainage works, which will be funded by the CM’s Assurances Funds amounting to Rs 133 crore.

During his speech at the event, Kamalakar highlighted the previous lack of development funds for Karimnagar during the united AP rule. As a result, the city suffered from congested roads and filthy drainages. However, thanks to the formation of Telangana with the support of CM KCR, significant funds have been allocated for the city’s development. Currently, 240 kilometers of CC and BT roads have been constructed, with an additional 147 kilometers in progress. The aim is to complete all pending works within the next month, including the repair of 8 kilometers of BT road with a budget of approximately Rs 8.5 crore.

Kamalakar also expressed concern about certain individuals who occupy lands and have multiple criminal cases running for elections. He warned the public about trusting such leaders, as they can negatively impact their lives. Additionally, he criticized Congress and BJP leaders for their lack of attention to public service when they are not in power.

During the event, the Minister unveiled a statue of Ambedkar and emphasized that Telangana’s formation was in accordance with the constitution written by Ambedkar. He praised CM KCR for honoring Ambedkar with a 120 feet statue in Hyderabad and by naming the secretariat after him.
