Gadwal MLA Backs 'Bapu Baatalo Satyashodhana Padayatra' Rally

Jogulamba Gadwal District, October 15: A rally took place at the District Agricultural Market Committee on Tuesday as part of the ‘Bapu Baatalo Satyashodhana Padayatra.’ This padayatra is a 1000-kilometer, 100-day journey led by Dr. Vijay Kumar, the Mahabubnagar District Convener of the Gandhi Global Family. The walk extends from Alampur to Achampet Uma Maheshwaram. Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy was the chief guest at the event.

Many school students, dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, participated in the rally. The President of Gandhi Global Family & Gandhi Gyaan Pratishtan, Rajender Reddy, honored the MLA with a shawl during the event.

In his speech, Vijay Kumar stressed the importance of educating parents and students about avoiding bad habits. He explained that the purpose of the padayatra is to promote good behavior, education, and knowledge. He encouraged children to grow into responsible citizens while also supporting the use of local products and rejecting foreign goods. This, he said, would help achieve Gandhi’s vision of ‘Gram Swarajya’ (village self-rule).

Gandhi Global Family & Gandhi Gyaan Pratishtan Chairman Gunna Rajender Reddy also spoke at the event. He talked about the dangers of consuming food grown with chemical pesticides and the health problems caused by adulterated food. He urged people to follow Gandhi’s ideas of sustainable development, organic farming, and natural medicine for better health.

MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy praised Vijay Kumar for starting the padayatra from Alampur, with the blessings of Jogulamba Amma, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. He expressed happiness about being part of the initiative and criticized those who glorify individuals responsible for Gandhi’s assassination. He expressed concern that today’s youth are drifting away from Gandhi’s principles and expressed hope that the padayatra would bring about positive changes.

Reddy concluded by saying that true freedom can only be achieved when children follow Gandhi’s ideals. Several important leaders and dignitaries, including Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Kurava Hanumantu, senior Congress leaders, and other officials, were present at the event.
