G Madhusudhan Reddy Calls for Minister Goud's Resignation in Mahabubnagar

The Congress party in Mahabubnagar is asking for Excise and Prohibition Minister Dr V Srinivas Goud to step down. This is because two people have died from drinking adulterated toddy in the district. G Madhusudhan Reddy, the district Congress committee president, went to the Government General Hospital to find out more about what happened. However, police stopped him from entering the hospital. He did manage to speak to the hospital superintendent though. Reddy thinks that there is something wrong with the government’s version of events. He says that the minister and his followers are making and selling adulterated toddy. This is putting people’s lives at risk. Reddy wants the government to take strong action against these people. He also wants the families of the victims to receive financial support. If the government does not act, the Congress party will start a big protest.
