Government of Telangana has spent 10.40 crore rupees on free medical tests at diagnostic centers today. The Minister of IT and Industries, KT Rama Rao, announced that a total of 134 types of medical tests were conducted free of cost at the diagnostic centers. The Minister of Health, Harish Rao, along with officials and stakeholders, congratulated KTR on the successful implementation of these services.
Hyderabad, July 2 (Namaste Telangana): Telangana Diagnostic Services, which started providing services from today, has conducted free medical tests for about 57.68 lakh people so far, informed Minister KT Rama Rao. The government spent 10.40 crore rupees on these tests, as announced on Sunday via Twitter. It was also mentioned that the Telangana government is providing these services without burdening the common people. These services were launched in Hyderabad in January 2018 and have now been extended statewide.
The Telangana Diagnostic Services, through its T-Diagnostics centers, is conducting two types of free medical tests: pathological tests for blood and urine samples and imaging services including X-ray, USG, ECG, 2D Echo, mammogram, etc. Currently, 134 types of medical tests are available at the diagnostic centers. The services have been praised by the Health Policy Commission for their successful implementation. Minister Harish Rao, along with officials and stakeholders, congratulated KTR for the effective functioning of these services.
