Nizamabad: MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy Compared to Mangalam Srinivas
Former Union Minister Venugopala Chary made a striking comment about Nizamabad’s Armoor MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy during a press conference at the Congress party office on Saturday. He likened the MLA to “Mangalam Srinivas,” a comparison that drew attention.
At the press conference, Chary praised the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, emphasizing the swift implementation of welfare initiatives. These include free bus services for women and the provision of 200 units of free electricity, among other programs aimed at public welfare.
Chary also criticized the BJP and BRS parties for their alleged secret alliances. He questioned why the BJP has remained silent on Telangana’s pending dues under the Reorganization Act. He went on to highlight Congress-led projects in Nizamabad, such as pipeline construction under the Amrit scheme and the development of underground drainage systems. Additionally, he announced the establishment of two new cotton research centers for Telangana.
The former minister pointed out the government’s achievements, including the allocation of Rs 61,145 crore to welfare schemes and the creation of 53,000 jobs in just one year. He called on opposition parties to acknowledge these successes and provide constructive criticism rather than unwarranted negativity.
The event was attended by prominent figures such as Manala Mohan Reddy, NUDA Chairman Kesh Venu, and other leaders from the region.
