Former DSP Madanam Gangadhar Enters Politics, Seeks Public Support

Former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madanam Gangadhar has announced his decision to leave his police job and enter politics. He has asked the public to support him in this new journey.

Speaking at a press conference at Karimnagar Press Bhavan on Tuesday evening, Gangadhar shared his background. He said that he had passed the Sub-Inspector (SI) exam in his first attempt at the age of 22 while studying at Osmania University. Over his 26-year career, he served in 12 police stations and most recently held the position of DSP.

Gangadhar explained that he decided to leave his job to bring political change. He believes that true change in the system can only happen through political decision-making. Because of this, he resigned as DSP and is now contesting the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections for graduates in Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad, and Medak districts.

He stated that his goal in entering politics is to bring social change. Despite his long service in the police force, he felt dissatisfied, as government departments have limited power. He wanted to do more and realized that only direct efforts in politics could help fulfill his vision for society.

Gangadhar shared that he had been struggling with the thought that his dream to change the system was just a dream. He decided that instead of just hoping for change, he needed to take action, which is why he left his police job.

He urged people to support him as a common candidate in the upcoming elections. He promised that if elected, he would work for the betterment of educated individuals, professionals, retired employees, unemployed youth, private employees, and both organized and unorganized workers.

Gangadhar also highlighted his achievements, stating that he has received 200 awards throughout his career. He emphasized that he not only performed his duties with organizational responsibility but also with moral integrity. He successfully solved many high-profile cases with professionalism. Some of the awards he received include the Kathina Seva Scheme, Uttam Seva Scheme, and the Chief Minister’s Supreme Scheme.
