The Mallamma Kunta Reservoir Initiative in the village of Tanagala in Vaddepalli Mandal of Alampur Constituency is being led by AICC Secretary and Former MLA Dr. SA Sampath Kumar. During a recent visit to the proposed site for the reservoir, Dr. Sampath Kumar and officials showed optimism and determination to bring development to the region.
The plan to establish the Mallamma Kunta Reservoir had been discussed for some time, but tangible steps were taken during this visit. Dr. Sampath Kumar submitted a petition to Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, emphasizing the urgency and importance of the project. The next day, officials were mobilized to the site to begin construction.
Local leaders and authorities discussed the benefits of the reservoir during the visit, including providing a reliable water source for irrigation and improving overall water management in the area. Dr. Sampath Kumar ensured that the project’s long-term planning and procedures were carefully considered by gathering suggestions from officials.
