Bibinagar (Yadadri-Bhongir): On Friday, State Food Commission Chairman Goli Srinivas Reddy, along with other members, visited Bibinagar Mandal to inspect various facilities.
The team began their visit at the Bibinagar Second Center Anganwadi. They spoke with pregnant women and nursing mothers to check if they were receiving daily meals at the center. They also inquired about the care given to underweight children and the advice provided to their mothers. The team inspected the kitchen stock and the food being served.
Following this, they visited the Bibinagar Primary Health Center. The team reviewed outpatient details and examined the services offered to pregnant women, as well as maternal and child health care. They stressed the importance of coordination between Anganwadi and ASHA staff to ensure proper medical services from pregnancy registration until six months post-delivery.
The team then went to a ration shop where they advised that stock details should be displayed on a board. They also suggested that rice and other stock should be stored properly to prevent damage.
Later, they inspected the Social Welfare Residential and BC Welfare Residential Girls’ Schools. They reviewed the kitchens and dining halls and spoke with second-year Intermediate students.
Additionally, the team visited the Kondamadugu Zilla Parishad High School to inspect the kitchen and ensure that meals were being provided according to the menu.
Throughout their visit, the State Food Commission Chairman and members also checked the attendance register of children at an Anganwadi school in Yadadri-Bhongir district.
