Five candidates for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) under the MLA quota have been elected unopposed in Hyderabad. The elected candidates are Vijaya Shanti, Addanki Dayakar, Shankar Nayak, Nellikanti Satyam, and Dasoju Sravan.

The Election Officer announced their victory because only five nominations were submitted for the five available seats. Addanki Dayakar, Vijayashanti, and Shankar Nayak were chosen from the Congress Party, while Dasoju Shravan represented the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Nellikanti Satyam was from the Communist Party of India (CPI).

Six independent candidates had also submitted nominations, but their applications were rejected by the Returning Officer since they did not meet the required criteria. After the deadline for withdrawing nominations ended at 5 PM on Thursday, the Returning Officer officially declared the five candidates elected without any opposition.
