Hyderabad, July 8 (Namaste Telangana): It is not just about saving lives in times of disasters, but also about saving lives during the monsoon season. To ensure the safety of the people in the flood-prone areas and to protect their lives during heavy rainfall, the Telangana Fire Department has prepared itself. In order to safeguard the people affected by floods and to rescue those stranded in the floods, the Disaster Response Force (DRF) has been equipped with around 210 personnel across the state.

To aid in their mission, the Telangana Fire Department has specially provided 13 boats. A total of 210 personnel include four DRF teams, 11 ADRF teams, 27 station fire officers, 168 leading firemen, firefighters, and homeguards. These teams have been strategically placed in flood-prone areas to ensure immediate response and rescue operations during any emergency situation.

The Telangana Fire Department has been actively preparing for the monsoon season and has conducted several training sessions to enhance the skills of its personnel. They have also implemented a comprehensive disaster management plan to effectively tackle any situation arising due to heavy rainfall and flooding. Our teams are well-equipped and trained to handle any kind of rescue operation.”

The Telangana Fire Department has also urged the public to stay cautious during the monsoon season and follow necessary safety guidelines. They have advised people living in flood-prone areas to be prepared for evacuation if required and to keep emergency contact numbers handy. The department has also assured the public that they are constantly monitoring the situation and are ready to respond to any emergency promptly.
