A ceasefire in Sudan was supposed to last for three days, but it was interrupted by airstrikes and more fighting. This could make it harder to rescue people who are stuck in the country. Three other ceasefires have been attempted, but they didn’t work. Over 11 days of fighting, around 459 people have died and over 4,000 people have been hurt. The World Health Organisation is worried because one of the groups fighting in Sudan took over a lab with dangerous diseases in it.
The Indian government is trying to help its citizens who are stuck in Sudan. They have already brought 600 people back home, but there are still about 3,000 Indians there. The Indian Air Force is planning to rescue more people by sending planes and navy ships. They will try to bring people back before the ceasefire ends.
