Female Tiger Sighted by Safari Tourists in Nallamala

Tourists Spot Rare Tiger in Nallamala Forest

Tourists visiting the Nallamala Forest in Amrabad Tiger Reserve, located in Nagar Kurnool district, had a thrilling experience on Friday evening. Around 6:00 PM, while on the Gundam Safari Road as part of an eco-tourism package, they spotted a tiger.

Forest department officials later confirmed that the tiger was a female. This rare sighting highlights the rich wildlife diversity in the area and made the safari an unforgettable experience for the visitors, said District Forest Officer (DFO) Rohith Gopidi.

Amrabad Tiger Reserve Biologist Mahender Reddy shared that the tourists were overjoyed to witness the tiger in its natural habitat. DFO Rohith Gopidi and Forest Divisional Officer (FDO) Ramamurthy confirmed that the sighting details were officially released to the media.

This exciting encounter serves as a reminder of the importance of wildlife conservation and the beauty of India’s forests.
