Tensions Rise in Beela Village Over Farmer Support Scheme
In Beela village, Adilabad, tensions escalated as former minister Jogu Ramanna led a protest demanding an increase in financial support under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The protestors called for raising the support amount to Rs 15,000, highlighting the urgent needs of farmers in the region. As part of their agitation, they organized a roadblock to draw attention to their demands.
The protest witnessed strong participation, with farmers and their supporters expressing dissatisfaction over the current state of welfare programs. Ramanna pointed out that the existing financial aid was inadequate to meet the rising costs of agriculture, leaving farmers struggling to sustain their livelihoods.
The situation became more intense when police stepped in to stop members of the BRS party from joining the protest. This intervention led to a heated argument between the two groups, which eventually turned into a physical scuffle. To prevent further escalation, authorities deployed additional police personnel to restore calm in the area.
Farmers and their supporters are increasingly frustrated, urging the government to take immediate steps to address their concerns. Discussions around the Rythu Bharosa scheme are ongoing, and further updates are awaited as the situation develops.
