Elderly Woman Given Wrong Medicine in Medak
A shocking incident took place in Elkurthi village, Tekmal Mandal, where an elderly woman seeking treatment for gastric trouble was reportedly given the wrong medication at a local health center.
The woman had visited the rural health facility complaining of severe gas trouble. However, instead of the correct medicine, the medical staff allegedly gave her a tonic meant for skin irritation. Shortly after consuming the tonic, the woman experienced severe discomfort and had to be rushed to a hospital in Medak for further treatment.
Outraged by the negligence, the victim’s family staged a protest outside the health center. They demanded immediate action against the staff responsible for the mistake. This incident has sparked concerns about the quality of medical care in rural areas and highlighted the need for stricter supervision and accountability in such facilities.
Local authorities have been informed about the incident, and the case is currently under review. Fortunately, hospital sources have confirmed that the elderly woman’s condition is stable.
