The governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana helped bring back 267 people who were stranded in Manipur due to violent unrest. The Telangana government brought back 106 civilians, while the Andhra Pradesh government brought back 161 students. A control room was set up in Telangana to manage the process. The Andhra Pradesh government arranged two additional flights, one to Hyderabad and the other to Kolkata, to bring back the stranded students. Students who reached Kolkata were then brought to Hyderabad by three different flights. The Andhra Pradesh government paid for the flights and provided food and other necessities. The students were relieved to return safely and reunite with their families.
