The Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, held a cabinet meeting to make important decisions before the budget session of the Telangana Assembly. The cabinet is expected to approve the implementation of two more guarantees. They will also finalize the schedule for the budget session.
The government plans to provide cooking gas cylinders to the poor at a cost of Rs 500 and give 200 units of free power to white ration card holders this month.
During the cabinet meeting, they will also decide on the vote on account for the budget session. The session is tentatively scheduled to start on February 8 with the Governor’s address. The government is considering introducing a vote on account on February 10.
The budget session will last for five days, starting on February 12. The main agenda includes discussing the Census Bill, presenting a White Paper on Irrigation, and holding a debate on corruption in the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme.
To attract certain sections of the population before the Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister is expected to make more important decisions during the cabinet meeting.
