Former Minister Jagadish Reddy Slams Congress Over MLA's Arrest
In Hyderabad, former minister and BRS leader Jagadish Reddy criticized the Congress party, accusing it of promoting “goonda raj” (lawlessness) in Nalgonda district. Speaking to the media on Sunday, he condemned the recent arrest of MLA Bhupal Reddy, calling it unlawful and politically motivated.
Jagadish Reddy demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Bhupal Reddy. He warned that the people would not tolerate what he described as the misuse of power by the Congress-led government. “If the police fail to uphold the Constitution, we will not stay silent. If this kind of governance continues, rebellion will be inevitable,” he said.
The former minister also declared that a movement to create a “Congress-free Telangana” would begin in Nalgonda. He accused the Congress of using oppressive tactics and vowed to lead efforts to safeguard democratic values in the state.
Jagadish Reddy’s statements have heightened political tensions in the district. Supporters of Bhupal Reddy have gathered in solidarity, while both parties continue to exchange accusations. The situation remains heated as the state gears up for the upcoming elections.
