On Sunday, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao participated in the Shobha Yatra for Hanuman Jayanti in Thorrur. During the event, he spoke about the importance of respecting religious diversity for a peaceful society. He emphasized that religious freedom is a universal human right that everyone should uphold. Errabelli also highlighted the historical significance of Palakurthi constituency, which he represents, as the birthplace of noted poet Somanatha and the home of Saint Poet Pothana who authored Bhagavatham. He mentioned that Indians value religious tolerance and encouraged people to continue their brotherliness with other religions. The Shobha Yatra was organized by Bajrang Dal, Vishva Hdu Parishad, and Hanuman Temple committee.
In addition to participating in the event, Errabelli Dayakar Rao also extended financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to G Siva Teja. Siva Teja was selected for international karate competitions to be held in Thailand and hails from Venkatapuram village under Thorrur mandal.
