On November 15th, Mrs. Konda Surekha, the Minister for Environment, Forests, and Devadaya Charities of the Telangana Government, extended her warm greetings to the public. She did this in honor of two important occasions: Kartika Poornami and Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Minister Surekha explained the significance of Kartika Poornami, a festival celebrated by devotees of Lord Shiva. She spoke about the cultural importance of the Kartika Deepotsavam event organized by the Telangana government. This event, celebrated in temples across seven states, is known for spreading a spiritual atmosphere. The minister expressed her hope that the Deeparadhana, or lamp worship, performed on this day brings good fortune to everyone.

In addition to Kartika Poornami, the minister also sent her greetings to the Sikh community on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, which is also on November 15th. She described this day as sacred for Sikhs and highlighted its themes of equality, tolerance, love, spirituality, and service. Minister Surekha reflected on Guru Nanak’s teachings, especially his message to first overcome internal struggles before trying to conquer the outside world. She said these teachings are a source of inspiration for everyone.

Through these celebrations, Minister Surekha emphasized the importance of promoting unity, spirituality, and moral values within society.
