Hyderabad District Election Officer Ronald Rose has instructed the ROs (Returning Officers) of the district to ensure that basic infrastructure is provided in the polling stations under their jurisdiction. This includes facilities like ramps, drinking water, toilets, and parking spaces in both government and private areas.
To make voting easier for the voters, Rose emphasized the distribution of slips containing information about the voter’s electoral serial number, polling date, polling station, and time. He also suggested including the route map in Google Maps to assist voters in reaching their polling centers without any difficulties. In response to allegations of political leaders distributing voter slips, strict action will be taken against such individuals.
To effectively manage the elections, it is necessary to collect lists of absent voters, those who have shifted, and those who have passed away, categorized by constituency. The ROs should provide information to party agents and collect phone numbers of voters to send them brief information through SMS.
Special arrangements have been made for elderly and disabled individuals above 80 years of age, allowing them to vote from home through Form-12D. Voter assistant booths will be set up in polling centers to address any queries or doubts raised by voters.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Sneha Sabarish, Khairatabad RO zonal commissioner Venkatesh Dotre, Yakutpura RO Venkatachary, Cantonment CEO Madhukar Naik, Additional Commissioner (election officer) Shankaraiah, and others.
