The Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh, Mukesh Kumar Meena, is concerned about the violence that took place during the elections for Assembly and Lok Sabha seats. He has ordered the authorities in Tenali, Macharla, and Anantapur to arrest those responsible for the incidents and take legal action. Additionally, a Sub-Inspector who let go of a suspect in Punganur has been suspended.

In Ganapavaram village, clashes between YSRCP and TDP workers led to an attack on YSRCP leader Marri Subbareddy, who had to be taken to the hospital. Dodleru village also saw violent clashes between party workers, causing distress among the local residents who demanded more security forces.

In Anakapalli, there were physical altercations between TDP and YSRCP workers in Revupolavaram village. The police had to intervene to control the situation. In Narsaraopet, rubber bullets were fired by police to disperse a mob attacking a local MLA’s house.

Tension arose in Tadepalligudem mandal when villagers protested, claiming they were only paid Rs 500 instead of the promised Rs 2,500 per vote.
