Eatala accuses KCR of lying in the Assembly

Huzurabad MLA and BJP State Election Management Committee chairman Eatala Rajender criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for lying in the State Assembly. He raised the issue of guest lecturers in government junior colleges, saying that he had already raised it in the State Assembly.

Eatala explained that contract guest faculty teach for 72 hours a month. Teachers in residential, model, and Kasturba schools, as well as inter colleges, work the entire year and provide services equal to regular faculty. He requested that the government establish a minimum scale for them and give weightage to notifications issued for regular faculty appointments.

He mentioned that the Chief Minister promised in the Assembly to implement this, but it was not done. Additionally, the guest lecturers were removed from their positions, despite a State High Court ruling that they should continue until permanent faculty is hired.

Eatala expressed his condemnation of the arrest of the protesting guest lecturers and demanded their immediate release. He stated that there are 5,794 guest lecturers working in various educational institutions, and he demanded they receive a 12-month salary.

Regarding the Chief Minister’s claims of clearing loans for the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), Eatala called it a blatant lie. He explained that the project started with an estimate of Rs.16,200 crore and increased to Rs.1 lakh crore under KCR’s leadership. He emphasized that the increase in groundwater levels has nothing to do with KLIP, as it was due to good rain.

Eatala criticized the government’s KLIP scheme, stating that it costs more than the per TMC per acre crop yield itself, and Rs 3,500 crore has to be paid for electricity, whether it is used or not.
