Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Indian Streatery, an independent Indian restaurant in Birmingham. During their visit, Prince William answered a phone call from a customer seeking a booking for two people. He checked with the owners about the restaurant’s location and discussed when a table would be free. The call ended with the customer being told to come at quarter past two.
The royals also helped prepare dishes in the restaurant’s kitchen before playing darts at an underground bar. The Sharma family, who run Indian Streatery, not only bring authentic Indian street food to the city but also do a lot in the community, including training an all-female chef team.
Overall, it was a great visit by the royals to a family-run restaurant in Birmingham.
