Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Assam and praised the global recognition achieved by Assam Tea, crediting the hard work of the tea garden community in the state. He visited the Hathikuli Tea Estate near Kaziranga National Park in Golaghat district.
PM Modi commended the tea garden community for their efforts in promoting Assam Tea worldwide, urging tourists to visit these gardens during their trips to the state. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also acknowledged the progress made by the tea garden community, thanks to PM Modi’s leadership.
During his visit to Hathikuli Tea Estate, PM Modi enjoyed a jungle safari in Kaziranga National Park. He spent two hours exploring the park on both elephant and jeep safaris. This visit was part of his two-day trip to Assam, where he inaugurated the ‘Statue of Valour’ dedicated to Lachit Borphukan, unveiled projects worth Rs 17,500 crore, and addressed a public meeting highlighting development in the region.
