A blood donation camp was held at the Government Blood Bank in District General Hospital, Nagar Kurnool to mark World Red Cross Day. District Medical and Health Officer Dr K Sudhakar Lal highlighted the importance of organizing such camps, especially when there is a shortage of blood in the district. He called on youth organizations to step up and organize more donation camps.
During the camp, 16 youths donated blood to help address the shortage in the district. The event was organized by the Red Cross Society, with key members such as Secretary Ramesh Reddy, Treasurer Radhakrishna, Vice Chairman Sridhar, Youth Red Cross District Convener Kumar, and others actively participating.
The involvement of youth organizations in organizing blood donation camps was emphasized as a way to ensure an adequate supply of blood for those in need. The support from the community and organizations like the Red Cross Society plays a crucial role in maintaining a sufficient blood supply for medical emergencies.
