BJP OBC Morcha national president and MP Dr K Laxman has demanded a CBI probe into the phone tapping scandal in Telangana. He expressed concerns that police involved in the scandal were tapping phones of opposition leaders, businessmen, and others based on directions from political bosses.
During a media address, Dr Laxman pointed out that BRS working president KT Rama Rao admitted to one or two incidents of phone tapping. He criticized the government for allegedly running the operation without approval from the Centre, specifically targeting opposition leaders during by-elections.
Dr Laxman also questioned the lack of action on corruption allegations related to the Medigadda project and the Dharani portal irregularities. He highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in handling such issues.
The BJP leader emphasized the importance of a CBI inquiry to uncover the truth behind the phone tapping scandal and hold those responsible accountable. He raised doubts about the government’s sincerity in addressing corruption and diversion tactics from electoral promises.
