    Surprise Inspection at Mellacheruvu PHC

    The District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) of Suryapet, Dr. Kota Chalam, made an unannounced visit to the Mellacheruvu Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the Kodad Constituency. During his inspection, he carefully examined the records and registers related to various health programs conducted at the center. He also assessed the staff’s punctuality and effectiveness in carrying out their duties. Additionally, Dr. Chalam reviewed the targets and achievements of the health programs.

    Inspection of Private Hospitals in Mellacheruvu

    Dr. Chalam extended his inspection to private hospitals in Mellacheruvu, including Sri Care First Aid Centre and New Life Hospital. He issued strict instructions that any changes involving directors, doctors, or staff at private hospitals must be promptly reported to the Office of the Medical and Health Officer. Failure to do so would result in serious consequences. The private hospitals were also directed to submit certificates regarding staff changes without delay.

    New Building for Munagala PHC

    In an update regarding the Munagala Primary Health Centre, Dr. Chalam announced that the old building would soon be replaced with a new one. The new facility is expected to become operational in the near future, enhancing healthcare services in the area.

    Visit to Suryapet Government General Hospital

    Dr. Chalam also conducted a surprise inspection of the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Suryapet. He reviewed records and reports related to Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) programs and discussed the management of these activities with the hospital staff. His visit highlighted the importance of efficient handling of NCD-related initiatives to improve public health outcomes.
